Magazines
50 Crows Foundation
Have you ever questioned the media's portrayal of a news story? Do you wonder what they haven't told you? Has a powerful photograph ever moved you to tears? How can you translate your emotion into action?
The FiftyCrows Foundation was created in October of 2001 to address these questions.
Blind Spot
Double Take
DoubleTake's mission is to present compelling, insightful stories—real and imagined—that open windows onto the human experience. Able to publish the voices of poets, essayists, short-story writers, teachers, and community-service workers along with the images of documentary photographers, the magazine continues in each issue to offer collages that engage readers both by the narratives told and by the particular images and words used in the telling. What we envision for the magazine is both a continued commitment to the strong, diverse voices and perspectives of writers and photographers, and a new effort to provide a critical window on current documentary projects around the country and the world.
